Astanga Ayurveda was established in 1997 as the first Ayurvedic Center in Central and Eastern Europe offering complete Ayurvedic medical and spiritual care. Astanga means "Eight-fold" and Ayurveda means "Science of Life".

The Center was founded by Dr. George Eassey, O.M.D. whose aim is to assist people by providing the highest standard of Ayurvedic treatment, counselling and education. By founding the Center, Dr. George Eassey laid the groundwork to fulfill his life-long mission - to popularize the ancient jewel of Ayurveda.
